In PAPAIS E OVOS/FATHERS AND EGGS two birds meet in a room, a man and a woman, each going their own way, between here and there, both looking very much like penguins. Something leads them to each other, an idea, an inner voice, something enthusiastic between the penguin-man and the penguin- woman wants to jump into life.
They fall in love madly.
And the result is an egg.
But then something goes wrong.
No matter how much they shock the egg, "it" doesn't want to come.
And each one follows his path, both carry with them a lost love, both take a crack in the shell...

The protagonists are two penguins, a "man" and a "woman", who meet and decide to have a "babypenguin". Faced with the sudden responsibility of taking care of the egg, they both discover their ownideas, hopes and expectations about the roles of father and mother. Simultaneously there is the voice of the "child" that would be in the egg but not yet born.

What will happen if the life projects of the two are completely different? And what will happen if the egg - this possibility of life - has other plans and has not yet decided if it really wants to be a penguin, maybe
it prefers to be a swan?

In this play we are talking about existential questions like hope and lack of hope, and about the struggle for a little warmth in an arid and difficult world to live in.

PAPAIS E OVOS/FATHERS AND EGGS is an event where different generations can participate together; it is a text that accepts children's imaginary and takes it seriously.

This is Bebe's first experience as a producer and actress in Brazil (and Arno
as director), and debuted in August 2000 at Teatro FAAP in São Paulo.
In this season he received 12 nominations for the BRAZIL DANCE AWARD 2000,
including best piece, best actress, best actor, best direction, best production, best text.

PARENTS AND EGGS is for everyone from 7 years of age.

PAPAIS E OVOS duas aves se encontram em uma sala , um homem e uma mulher, cada um indo no seu caminho, entre aqui e lá, ambos de aparência muito semelhante à pingüins. Alguma coisa os conduz um ao outro, uma idéia, uma voz interna, alguma coisa entusiasmada entre o pingüim-homem e a pingüim-mulher quer saltar para a vida.
Eles se apaixonam enlouquecidamente.
E o resultado é um ovo.
Mas aí algo dá errado .
Não importa o quanto eles chocam o ovo, "ele" não quer vir.
E cada um segue o seu caminho, ambos carregam consigo um amor perdido, ambos levam uma rachadura na casca...

Os protagonistas são dois pingüins, um "homem" e uma "mulher", que se encontram e decidem ter um "bebê-pingüim". Perante a súbita responsabilidade de cuidar do ovo, ambos descobrem suas próprias idéias, esperanças e espectativas acerca dos papéis de pai e mãe. Simultâneamente há a voz da "criança" que estaria no ovo mas que ainda não nasceu.

O que vai acontecer se os projetos de vida dos dois forem completamente diferentes? E o que vai acontecer se o ovo – essa possibilidade de vida – tiver outros planos e ainda não se decidiu se quer mesmo ser um pingüim, talvez ele prefira ser um cisne...

Nesta peça estamos falando sobre questões existenciais como por ex. a esperança e a falta de esperança, e sobre a luta por um pouco de calor num mundo árido e difícil de se viver.

PAPAIS E OVOS é um evento onde diferentes gerações podem participar juntas; é um texto que aceita o imaginário infantil e o leva a sério.

Essa é a primeira experiência de Bebê como produtora e atriz no Brasil (e de Arno
como diretor), e estreou em agosto de 2000 no Teatro FAAP em São Paulo.
Nessa temporada recebeu 12 nomeacoes para o PRÊMIO DANCA BRASIL 2000,
inclusive melhor peca, melhor atriz, melhor ator,melhor direcao, melhor producao, melhor texto.
